Project Summary
Our goal was to install and launch new tablets in the bar of two of Sauce & Spoon’s location (Downtown and Uptown locations).
As we prepared to launch, we physically installed tablets at two restaurant locations via electrician, added menus, coupons, branding, and additional content to tablets, integrated tablets with POS system, negotiated with tablet vendor over timing, created a plan for training, managed waitstaff expectations and concerns, trained back of house (BOH) and front of house (FOH), created system for maintenance/locking and implemented system of surveying and measuring customer satisfaction. Overall we were able to decrease wait time by 30 minutes and provide guests with a wonderful experience at Sauce & Spoon.
We were able to:
Reduced turn time by 30 minutes (increased daily guest count by 20%)
Kept the average tablet checkout time the same by one minute or less
Reduce tech issues by 5%
Reduce food waste by 25%
78% of guests signed up for the newsletter
Simplify the tablet navigations
The main feedback we received from beta testing was that our guests wanted to be able to pay with cash and create a simpler navigation via the tablets. We will continue to improve order accuracy, plan to roll out tablets at other locations and continue to survey and solicit feedback from guests.
